Benefits of Eating Together

thanksgiving
In this fast food society, it is such a rare thing to sit down at the dinner table together.

This morning I sat at the table drinking carrot juice with my girls while we chatted about stuff.  Usually mornings are a rush, grab and go session. But those few moments together just left me with such a happy feeling of gratitude and a special sense of bonding.

It is a treasure to spend dinner time or breakfast time or lunch time together at the table with your family.

Do it as often as you can....while you can.

"The dinner table can be the perfect environment where kids learn how to conduct conversations, observe good manners, serve others, listen, solve conflicts and compromise". -HuffingtonPost

Luke 22:30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

I love this post. My girls and I try and have a fresh juice together most mornings and we have special family homemade pizza & movie night and tea parties. I think making these moments in amongst the hustle and bustle make life so precious.

What a lovely post and one i whole heartily agree with we try to sit and eat as a family at least for 4-5 meals per week or more if time allows.

Agreed, as well. We sit down together over just about all of our meals. It is a blessing and actually a lot of fun the way that conversations just unfold. (Because my kiddos are younger, sometimes I have to tell them to go ahead a quiet down so they can actually eat! LOL)
